Chard Wraps

The recipe of Chard Wraps, makes a lovely side dish and goes well with the Miso & Tahini Lentil Spread to make a well rounded, vegetarian meal.

Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked white basmati rice
  • 4-6 large chard leaves
  • Spread of Choice

Cooking Process

  1. Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a large pot with steaming basket inside.
  2. Cut the stems away from the chard leaves.
  3. Place chard leaves inside steaming basket and cover the pot.
  4. Steam on medium-low heat for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Remove the leaves from the pot with tongs.

Wrap The Leaves

  1. Flatten one chard leaf on a clean, dry surface.
  2. Spread 1-2 Tbsp. rice and 1-2 Tbsp. lentils in the center of the leaf, in a rectangular shape.
  3. Fold in the two short ends, then roll.
