Ginger Lime Agni Boost Appetizer

Ingredients:

  • Fresh ginger root
  • Lime
  • Rock salt
Contraindications: The agni boost appetizer listed here are quite heating, and should not be taken by people with excess pitta, an excessively sharp digestive fire, or anyone with symptoms of acid reflux, stomach ulcer, or other GI inflammation.

Preparation Method 1 - larger quantity to store in the fridge

1. Peel and slice or julienne 2 inches of fresh ginger root and place in a small jar or container.
2. Squeeze 1/2 fresh lime and sprinkle 1/8 tsp. rock salt over the ginger.
3. Seal and save in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Instructions For Use:
Eat one finger pinch 20 minutes before meals to ignite agni and stimulate digestion.

Preparation Method 2 - a single serving

1. Peel and slice one small pice of ginger about the size of a penny.
2. Squeeze a dash of lime and a pinch of salt on the ginger.
Instructions For Use:
Eat 20 minutes prior to meal time to ignite agni and stimulate digestion.
